Activity 1:

As a student of Senior High, identify the positive or advantages of using Information and Communications Technology (ICT) that you know. Complete the positive and negative impacts to the different variables like People, Education, Organization, and Society.

People

Positive impacts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on people include increased connectivity, access to information, and improved communication. It facilitates learning, enhances productivity, and provides opportunities for remote work.

Negative impacts can include issues like digital divide, where not everyone has equal access to technology. There are also concerns about privacy, cyber threats, and the potential for technology addiction. Additionally, rapid technological changes may lead to job displacement and the need for constant skills upgrading.

Positive impacts of ICT in education include increased access to information, interactive learning opportunities, and improved communication between students and teachers. On the flip side, challenges may include issues like unequal access to technology, the risk of distraction, and concerns about data security and privacy.

Negative impacts include unequal access leading to educational disparities, potential distractions, overdependence on technology, social isolation, security and privacy concerns, and digital literacy gaps.

On the negative side, challenges may include cyber security threats, the need for ongoing training to keep up with technological advancements, potential job displacement due to automation, and the cost of implementing and maintaining ICT infrastructure.

Negative impacts include cyber security threats, job displacement due to automation, high costs of ICT implementation, dependency risks, the need for continuous training, and privacy concerns.

Society 

Positive impacts of ICT in society include improved communication, enhanced access to information, economic growth, advancements in healthcare, social connectivity, increased efficiency, education enhancement, and improved government services.

Negative impacts of ICT in society include cyber security threats, digital divide widening inequalities, job displacement, privacy concerns, over-reliance on technology, and potential negative effects on mental health due to excessive screen time.
